Project Challenge:
This project is a very popular tourist attraction, therefore, power brooms could not be used because of all the dust that would occur. On the top floor Presidential Suites, the Roofing Contractor was unable to screw board down into the concrete deck , hammer drills were not allowed. A clean surface was needed on the built up roof, in order to spray down the adhesive in which to stick the insulation board.
RK Process:
With our truck mounted vacuum units, which are fully self contained and equipped with on-board filters, dust is not released into the air. Once our truck mounted units are full, the vacuum line gets disconnected and the entire truck is driven off the jobsite to dispose of the material. Whereas a hopper type vac unit other vacuum contractors use (which hangs over a dump truck or a dumpster in the staging area) free falls gravel and dirt into a container which releases far too much dirt and dust into the air.
End Result:
RK’s fully contained vacuum unit made this project virtually dust free, not only for the comfort of the guests, but also for the cleanliness of the surface.
